Let me introduce myself as the newest member of ISSP. Let me tell you a little about myself:
I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, and then double majored in International Affairs and French at Lewis & Clark in Portland, Oregon. Always interested in education, I traveled for five years upon graduating, working as an English teacher in places such as Reunion Island, Russia, and Tanzania. Having worked with students from different continents and lifestyles, I have come to realize there are some needs and interests of these students which are universally common to all of their peers in this globalizing world. ISSP is a great opportunity for these children to realize that they are not so different from each other after all, but through their differences they can learn so much.
Currently I am a graduate student studying Public Administration at the Monterey Institute of International Studies, and will be serving in the Peace Corps starting next year as part of my program. As an intern at ISSP, I will be learning along the way, and hope to share the experience with you. I will be writing posts to give you updates on what we are doing, and how our program is evolving. Enjoy!
