The Global Education Partnership (GEP, from which ISSP grew) established a GEP satellite in Tanzania in 1997. When the GEP USA Headquarters was “Dissolved” in 2005, the satellite office in Tanzania registered as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with the same name, based in Lushoto, Tanzania, and continued to successfully operate and maintain programs serving and training over 3,000 Tanzanians during this time. At ISSP, we were delighted to hear that GEP Tanzania has not only survived for 8 years, but has prospered and continues to do important work.
